Discorder Magazine (often spelled DiSCORDER to parallel the capitalization of its parent organization, CiTR Radio) is a monthly magazine dedicated to covering local and independent music and arts in Vancouver, BC.
Discorder is the publication of UBC's Student Radio Society, which operates as CiTR 101.9 fm.
Discordant sets consist of viruses which have no antigens in common, and together fill up the complete antigen space with their genotypes.

DiSCORDER was created in 1980 as the program guide for CiTR and has since expanded to become a media institution in its own right.
Discorder runs music reviews, book reviews, interviews, essay-length articles, comics, a craft column, a mix-tape, the program guide, and CiTR's charts.
DiSCORDER prints 10,500 copies each month and distributes then in coffeeshops, bookstores, and music stores across the cities of Vancouver and Victoria.

DiSCORDER is trying out Wordpress, while the blogfolios pilot group is using MT 3.14.
To be honest, DiSCORDER picked WP because it was free (see Mark Pilgrim’s old post on why Freedom is important).
In “normal” blogs, this doesn’t tend to be a big issue, but with DiSCORDER, it definitely is. With WP, a user who is level 5 will have the same set of permissions as a user who is level 6, but the user with the higher level can edit the posts of those below him/her.

Source samples from my recent productions have mostly been culled from my favourite funk and pop tunes, and then processed to such an extreme degree that the original is indiscernible.
And though I've been exposed to lots of music I've never really felt connected to any "scene." My tastes are too broad for me to narrow in on something.
Though there seems to be a need/market for a DJ, I appreciate a live performance for the fact that you see the producer and that respect for the music is given where it's deserved.

The object is sound, not typical noise but slow, time–designed, beautifully looming sounds that you‘ll need lots of free time to soak in.
I‘d be dishonest if I didn‘t point out that I enjoy this but can also take a good, healthy DiSCORDER step back, chuckle and recognize the pretentious, new–age art–fop aspect of this too.
I can sure dig it as well as laugh about it.
