Discworld 2 is split into four acts, each with a different aim, much like Discworld 1.
Discworld the Game is programmed using a system called TINSEL, a custom language, and means that games can be compiled on a PC, and ported over to various systems, with not too much fuss, and is being transferred to other formats..

Discworld, you will have some idea of what to expect.
If you have played Discworld 1, you'll notice that the graphics have improved, the sound should be better (one of the noticable bugs on my machine is real problems with the sound), and generally the game play has improved.

Discworld 2 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Discworld II the player controls Rincewind the Wizzard (voiced by Eric Idle, as in the previous game) who has been burdened with the task of coercing Death out of his impromptu retirement and back into his regular duties.
The plot borrows from a number of Discworld books, most notably Reaper Man, Moving Pictures, Lords and Ladies, and The Last Continent.
It all begins in a quiet Ankh-Morpork street, where Rincewind and The Librarian inexplicably fail to die from a nearby cart-bomb explosion.

Discworld books are extremely hard to classify--at first they might appear to be fantasy novels, but that's only a disguise.
Since Discworld gained so much popularity--especially among European readers--it was only a question of time before it would spawn spin-offs in other media--and it did when the adventure game Discworld appeared, to be followed shortly by another adventure.
If you do know Discworld, however, you are aware of the fact that Rincewind is one of the least magical persons in existence and is only a wizard because he wears a pointy hat and a dress.

 Discworld - Uncyclopedia
Discworld is a series of books created by Terry Pratchett, a more prominent citizen of the United Kingdom.
The Discworld is situated on the backs of four giant hedgehogs, which in turn rest on the back of a giant turtle, which is held up by jacklifters, which rest of Winnebago, the cosmic mobile home/Caravan.
Most of these were written in the year 1337, but despite this, they still manage to have relevance and humour, particularly the ones about the idiocy of the American government.

The Science of Discworld II is ultimately entertaining and genuinely thought-provoking, as expected from this team.
Chapters of a discworld story by Pratchett alternate with rather didactic commentary and science exposition by Cohen and Stewart.
The discworld story is witty and artful, if you like that sort of thing: enjoyable enough, but you really need to be a Pratchett fan (I am not) to get the most out of it.

The graphics style used for backgrounds hasn't change much from Discworld, as they are supposed to reproduce the world of the Discworld as imagined by British author, Terry Pratchett.
When you play with Discworld 2 and watch the full screen animations, it is just like being in the cartoon with Rincewind, and the sounds and voices are not to lead you believe the contrary.
In Discworld, if you would try something that doesn't work out, you would hear "That doesn't work", and quite frankly, it is not going to help you further in the game unless you try all the possible interactions between items and characters.

Besides humans, there are Trolls (if you keep them deep frozen they are astonishingly intelligent...it is the heat of the city that makes them appear so dumb and slow), Imps (recently they've been earning their money in the movie business), the ill-tempered Dwarves and, of course, the Dragons.

Home of the Underdogs - Entry: Discworld 2: Mortality Bytes
Two of the most underrated adventure games ever, both Discworld games are based on Terry Pratchett's pun-filled fantasy Discworld series, in which the whole world is carried through space by a turtle, and idioms and puns do have a life of their own.
As bumbling wizard Rincewind, prevent the Dragon from destroying the world in Discworld 1 and find a way to convince the disillusioned Death to resume his day job in the sequel.
Both games have great humor (although dialogues drag on at times), and some of the most devious but logical puzzles ever designed.
