Disneytown is an entertainment, shopping and dining complex currently under construction at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort in the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong, China.
Linked to the yet-to-be-opened Hong Kong Disneyland theme park by monorail, the complex is scheduled to open the month after the park does, in October 2005.
The only shop names that have been leaked to the Internet so far are a World of Disney store, a Gap store, a Virgin Megastore and a Planet Hollywood resturaunt.

Such "Disneytowns" wouldn't be on the scale of Downtown Disney, but would be something that could still occupy guests for hours.
A Disneytown could be contained under a single roof or be set up like Downtown Disney.
I don't know what the numbers would be on something like a Disneytown, and I doubt Disney will try anything like that soon, given the trouble Disney has had in regional entertainment projects.

The article mentioned that some of the information is from Internet but did not cite the source.
Tried google search for "Disneytown" but only returns wikipedia and derivatives.
Check the discussion page, but basically another user disputes referenced recipes and the availibility of variants of the Italian Beef including cheese despite the fact that menu's from several chains that have websites were sourced as references to the existance of Italian Beefs with cheese.

All hail to the Mouse -- the Disneytown House of Blues is a classy venue with great acoustics, not a bad seat/standing area in the house, and it is blessedly, even frigidly, air-conditioned.
The capacity is supposed to be around 2,000, and my guess (always a bit dubious at best) would be that at its peak the crowd numbered perhaps 1500 max.

While the eerie beauty of "Disneytown" draws me in hypnotically, I'll still have to say, ultimately, that "Life in Mono" is my favorite.

Jacksonville needs more positive national exposure before people see it differently, and Orlando needs to diversify and be seen as more than just disneytown.
Orlando and Jax both have identity issues, so deal with it!
