		Dissection is heralded as one of the founders of the so-called Gothenburg sound, which basically adds a melodic touch (often in the form of Maiden-ish twin guitar riffs) to death metal.
		Though the band's popularity was still rising, by 1997 internal strife amongst the band members led to most of the band leaving the band for one reason or another (two of them, Johan Norman and Tobias Kellgren, eventually formed Soulreaper), leaving founder Jon Nödtveidt bandless.
		Rather abruptly, however, the band announced that a concert in late June would be their last, and later that year (August) came the sad news that that Nödtveidt had committed suicide, thus marking the official end of the band.

	Dissection Review
		DISSECTION only left us with a couple treats before they abruptly ended, due to the whole "murder thing," and I have listened to "The Somberlain" and "Storm Of The Lights Bane" so many times I have to sneak up on my CD player to get it into the player because it’s sick of playing them.
		Hearing this band live, I am telling you right now, was just religious.
		The sound quality is superb and the Wacken crowd is very accepting of the DISSECTION performance, probably clapping in fear they might get killed.
