		VH1's Divas specials raise funds for the "VH1 Save The Music Foundation", a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music programs in America's public schools and to raising awareness of the positive impact that music participation has on students.
		VH1 Divas Live: An Honors Concert for VH1's Save the Music, aired live from New York City's Beacon Theatre on April 14th, 1998.
		No official DVD or VHS was ever released of this concert as Diana Ross refused to give rights for it to be publsished due to the fact she thought she was not performing her best.

		The American Heritage Dictionary defines diva as "an operatic prima donna." Well these six pop superstars don't sing opera, but they are certainly equipped with the beautiful, powerful voices of opera singers.
		Kiefer Sutherland and Eddie Izzard are a lion and a koala, respectively, in "The Wild." You may not have seen it in theaters, but not to worry -- it's out on DVD now.

		Aside from the fact that I still do not see why it can be Divas Live '99 when you have a male in the cast, I am afraid that Brandi and Mary Jane Bilge (err, sorry, Blige) hardly rate with Mariah Carey, let alone Aretha Franklin.
		Whilst the talent on offer is simply not up to the standard of the original concert, at least the quality of the video transfer is. This is yet again a very good-looking concert video.
		As indicated earlier, this is definitely the poor relation of the two Divas Live concerts and really this does not deserve much consideration at all in comparison.
