A ''nitrox dive'' could be a dive carried out almost entirely on air, perhaps in the 40-45m range, for which air is quite suitable, with a nitrox mixture (probably between 50% and 80% oxygen, or even pure oxygen) used only during the decompression stops.
Before the dive you enter into the computer the oxygen percentage of your gas mix and the computer deduces the balance to be nitrogen, and calculates the decompression requirement accordingly.
Dive centres equipped to fill your dedicated nitrox cylinder with the appropriate mixture are still few in number, and this will only change as a result of increased demand.

Diving has long since passed from heroics to hobby and even if you're inland you can normally find a dive shop nearby that will do you a taster 'Try Dive' in a pool.
Scuba diving does compound the problem of getting an ambulance and drowning can spoil your enjoyment of a simple heart attack but scuba can not be blamed for the divers coronary heart disease or failure of some other organ.

 Paratrooper Badge of the Heer
Unique features of original 1st pattern badges are the absence (in nearly all cases) of the flat die plate (or beard) under the Wehrmachtadlers beak and the existence (in all cases) of the early CE Juncker stamp on the reverse of the diving eagle.
The FIB version badges (struck from the 2nd pattern aluminum dies) were slightly heavier than the FIK version (weighing 35 grams compared to the 30 grams of the FIK version).
The badge was produced Feinzink by CE Juncker of Berlin with the same dies used to manufacturer the 2nd model badge in aluminum.

We're all tekkies now... - DIVER October 2000   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-03)
The term was coined in the USA to differentiate between the great majority of people who learned to dive on holiday - taking on board basic information on a need-to-know basis - and those who extended their experience beyond that allowed under the diving-with-a-guide system.
A diver who uses air for the deepest part of his dive and then changes to progressively richer nitrox mixes to enhance the safety of, or to cut short, his decompression plan, is clearly a technical diver.
Their diving is complicated because they often switch between mixes during a dive for safety.

The Army Parachutists Badge - MILITARIA COLLECTING FORUM
There are also transitional badges but their differences to the Type 1 and Type 2 badges are due to the way in which they are hand-finished so I haven’t bothered showing them here.
The number of badges worn by former FIK/FIB paratroopers serving with the Luftwaffe FJ during WW2 that have one or more repairs attests to the lack of availability of new badges after the badge was abolished.
In addition, the lack of badges for Waffen-SS paratroopers, who were all eligible to wear the Army version, indicates that not enough were made in 1943 and 1944 to ensure that every paratrooper serving with Fallschirm-Btl “Brandenburg”, 15 (Fallschirm) Kompanie of the Brandenburg Division and SS-Fallschirmjäger-Btl 500 received one.
