Immelmann loop - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An Immelmann loop is a popular inversion found on many rollercoasters.
A sidewinder consists of a half loop and a half corkscrew, and comes out closer to 90°, while the Immelman comes out in more of a straight line back to where it started.
An Immelman traveled in reverse is a diving loop.

 Richard L. Pyle LGRB
I define "minimum" loop volume as that volume of gas occupying the rebreather loop when the counterlung(s) are completely "bottomed-out", and the diver has completely exhaled the gas from his or her lungs.
Conversely, "maximum" loop volume is the volume of gas in the breathing loop when the counterlung(s) are maximally inflated, and the diver has maximally inhaled gas into his or her lungs.
Decreases to loop volume can be accomplished by manually venting gas from the loop, either by exhaling through the nose (except for certain kinds of full face masks), allowing gas to escape from the seal of the lips to the mouthpiece, or dumping gas from a valve somewhere on the rebreather loop.

The diving loop can't be accomplished by aircraft in such a tight radius because of the extreme g's.
Diving loop is the one make a half twist then a half loop down.
A dive loop is where you start with an in-line twist but go down into a loop.

Richard Pyles article - Page 1
To maintain a constant PO2 in the breathing loop and a constant loop volume while changing depths, a diver must be skilled in minor gas addition and venting techniques.
Increases to loop volume can be made by the addition of diluent or oxygen (depending on whether the current PO2 is greater than, or less than [respectively] the PO2 set-point).
After the oxygen supply to the solenoid has been manually shut, the diver can flush the loop with diluent until the gas is safe to breathe, return to closed circuit mode, and abort the dive while manually maintaining the PO2 in the breathing loop.

An Immelmann and a Dive Loop are shapped almost the same way.
Wildfire is their first sit-down coaster with an immelman, instead of a diving loop.
By now you all should know what is an immelman and what is a diving loop in your sleep.

Dragon Khan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The riders are at the top of the biggest loop in this side view of the Dragon Khan.
After boarding the ride, riders climb to the top of the lift hill (148 ft high), before plummeting back down to earth and straight into a 118-ft-tall vertical loop, followed by a diving loop, a zero-G roll, and a cobra roll.
Riders then get a short break at the ride's trim brakes before coming back down into a smaller vertical loop and then onto the last two inversions - the interlocking corkscrews.

A diving loop is the opposite of an Immelman Loop.
The exit is a large dive that brings the riders back almost the opposite way that they entered the element in.
A raven turn is only seen on one type of coaster: the 4-D. Invented with the debut of X, a raven turn is either a half loop entrance and inverted drop exit or a non-inverted entrance hill into a half loop that exits inverted.

My interest in advanced mixed-gas diving technology, including closed-circuit rebreathers, stems from my ongoing endeavor to document marine life inhabiting deep coral reefs.
In an effort to safely investigate this region, I designed an open-circuit mixed-gas diving rig that incorporated two large-capacity cylinders, two pony cylinders, five regulators, and a surface-supplied oxygen system for decompression (Pyle, 1992b; 1996c; Sharkey and Pyle, 1993).
Although we only intended to conduct preliminary observations during this expedition, we nevertheless discovered nearly thirty new species of fishes and several new invertebrate species (e.g., Gill et al., in press; Earle and Pyle, in press; Allen and Randall, in press; Randall and Fourmanoir, in press).

As described by Dalton's law, the total pressure of a gas mixture is the arithmetic sum of all the individual partial pressures of the constituent gases.
The loop describes the counterlungs, breathing hoses, CO absorption canister/system and mouthpiece with upsteam and downstream check valves.
This is simulated by the addition of weight equal to the buoyancy of the loop volume of the rebreather being used, and where appropriate additional weight to simulate suit compression due to depth.

Kumba soars riders through three first-of-a-kind elements, including a “diving loop,” a “camelback” with a 360-degree spiral, and the world’s largest vertical loop.
Diving loop--which plunges riders into a loop from a height of 110 feet.
A 108-foot vertical loop-- the world’s largest, interlocked with the lift.

The train heads into weightless territory with a Zero-g Roll rotating 360-degrees beneath the Dive Loop.
Diving down over a park pathway, the train maneuvers its way into a banked turn and abruptly completes the first of two Interlocking Corkscrews.
After the first flip, the train curves around a tight banked curve facing the train to the last flip, interlocking, hence the name, with the former.

I like the way that the track will thread through the center of the vertical loop once it exits the diving loop en route to the zero-g roll.
I'm making an educated guess at a twisting drop, vertical loop, dive loop (possibly an immelman), cobra roll, zero-g roll, and interlocking corkscrews, respectively.
Heh, I actually agree with you this time, there is no way there is going to be a cobra roll, only the loop, diving loop, zero g, and corkscrews...

Silent Submersion - Rebreather related articles
Should the supply cylinder run out un-noticed during a dive (an unfortunately common event in scuba diving) again the diver may not be aware of the flow stopping, as the only indication would be a cessation of a small amount of bubbling from the unit which reduces with depth.
The diver will also be aware, (despite pre dive checks) of the risk of reduced flow during the dive, and always flush the loop with fresh gas before ascents, where hypoxia is most likely due to the reduction of pressure and the resultant drop in PO2 to hypoxic levels should a flow impingement have occurred.
As it turned out, Suzie was the 1st female to dive the Doria on a rebreather, a nice one-two for mother and daughter… Evie Bartram Dudas was the 1st female to dive the Doria with her husband, John Dudas.
