		Gwydir came from C.W. Post in Brookville, Long Island, where she was the head softball coach for four seasons, leaving the program as the winningest coach in its history with a 116-69-1 record.
		Gwydir led the first ever softball team to a second place finish in the Trans America Athletic Conference and appearance in the conference tournament.
		Gwydir was awarded for her efforts in 1998 by being named Coach of the Year in the TAAC.

		The Division has experienced an acute shortage of GPs in recent years and it is only in the last 12-18 months that GP numbers have returned to the levels of 1997.
		The Division Board of Directors felt that the Board structure as it was, maintained the focus at an individual town level instead of the Division as a whole.

		The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) confirmed on Wednesday it would press ahead with its plan to eliminate the north-western seat of Gwydir in an electoral redistribution, merging it with the electorate of Parkes.
		"While a small degree of flexibility in numbers is allowed by the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918, the redistribution committee could not escape the conclusion that the division of Gwydir would be the most appropriate division to abolish," the AEC said.
		The redistribution was prompted by falling voter numbers in NSW and increasing numbers in Queensland, with the AEC creating a new seat in Queensland.
