		Djam Leelii is a wonderful introduction to the traditional folk roots of Baaba Maal.
		When I lived in my village in the Futa I knew him from scratchy bootlegged cassettes available in the market stalls.
		Now his early accoustic music has been rereleased on CD (see Djam Leelii, left) and he has a series of great electric recordings as well that you should check out.
