  The Pyramid of Dejedkare-Isesi
Djedkare ruled for at least 32 years and was succeeded by his son Unas the last king of the fifth dynasty.
Tombs of his daughter, his son, and a few of his officials were discovered in the 1970's by a Czech team exploring south of Niuserre's causeway.
At the Northeast corner of the wall surrounding Djedkare's pyramid and mortuary temple lies another, smaller pyramid complex.

Egypt: Djedkare, 8th Ruler of the 5th Dynasty
Djedkare was the eighth ruler of Egypt's 5th Dynasty.
The relationship of Djedkare with his predecessors or successors is not entirely known, but he was probably the son of Menkauhor, his predecessor.
A pyramid believed to be that of a queen or consort of Djedkare just next to that of his in South Saqqara has no inscriptions to provide us with evidence of her name.

Amongst non-royal Egyptians of this time, Ptahhotep, vizier to Djedkare Isesi, won fame for his wisdom; The Maxims of Ptahhotep was ascribed to him by its later copyists.
If not, he was almost certainly Djedkare's brother, with Niuserre being both king's father, or Djedkare's cousin, with Djedkare being the son of Neferefre, and Menkauhor being the son of Niuserre.

 EgyptSites - Djedkare-Isesi
He was the first pharaoh to build a pyramid in the area to the south of the main Saqqara necropolis, moving away from the chosen burial grounds of his immediate ancestors at Abusir.
Although Djedkare's ancestry is still unclear, it is known that he reigned for at least three decades, during which time he was responsible for reforming the administration of Upper and Lower Egypt and reorganising the mortuary cult at Abusir.
Djedkare's causeway joined his mortuary temple between the two towers of the entrance pylon and ran at an angle slightly towards the south, sloping down to the modern village of Saqqara which now covers the lower part of the causeway and the valley temple.

Djedkare’s complex consists of a main pyramid called “Beautiful is Isesi,” a mortuary temple, a satellite pyramid, and for the first time, a separately functioning Queen's pyramid.

 Dyedkara-Isesi
