Adjust Your Set was designed to be a children's show and the humor tends to be juvenile for the most part.
The first episode of Adjust Your Set I have on tape from years ago, a copy from a copy from a copy, originally recorded off UK Gold before making its way to the U.S. I know for a fact these aren't all the surviving episodes of Adjust Your Set.
The Do Not Adjust Your Stocking episode (or was it a special?) is the only other one I've seen and it is much funnier than the early episodes.

Although planned and transmitted as a childrens' programme, Do Not Adjust Your Set also proved to be very popular with adults.
Terry Jones claims that "we were just doing what we would have done anyway really, so the fact that it was a kids show was just an excuse".
The 25 December 1968 Christmas special, called Do Not Adjust Your Stocking, was produced by Lewis Rudd and directed by Adrian Cooper, then the second series was produced by Ian Davidson, directed by Adrian Cooper and started airing on 19 February 1969, producing a grand total of 27 episodes.

Originally broadcast from 1967 to 1969 by Associated-Rediffusion (and later by the neophyte company Thames Television), Do Not Adjust Your Set was part of a trio of prehistoric Python shows, including At Last the 1948 Show and the radio comedy I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again.
Tango Entertainment's release of Do Not Adjust Your Set, like their release of The 1948 Show, features nine telerecordings of the 14-episode first season from Rediffusion -- likely the only surviving episodes.
While it's nowhere near as daring or as cutting edge as Flying Circus turned out to be, it must be remembered that Idle, Palin, and Jones were working under the guise of a kiddie show, and still managed to slip adult-oriented material into their sketches.
