		In front of this demanding background it is very busy, the traditional cure-taking is continued in new rooms, "Molli" rings down the streets, every year the season’s highlights are the horse races at the oldest German race track, a lot of events make the town a cultural centre.

		In one large beautiful house that had been abandoned in Bad Doberan, a kindergarten had been in operation for many years.
		When the owners returned from the West, they saw how the building was being used, and that the people had tried to keep it in good condition.
		We visited 10 or 15 years ago, so we don’t know if the people from the West have reclaimed or retained ownership or just what, but at least they didn’t immediately throw out the people who have worked so hard all these years.
