All data is stored in plain text files - no database is required." During the evaluation of DokuWiki for a german/korean wiki of mine a flaw in DokuWiki's spellchecker was discovered, that allows injecting arbitrary PHP commands, by requesting a spellcheck on PHP commands in 'complex curly syntax'.
Because the spellchecker is written as part of the AJAX functionality of DokuWiki, it can be directly called by any website visitor, without the need for a wiki account.
Details: DokuWiki comes with an AJAX spellchecking service that can be called by every visiting client without the need of authorization.

Using the new AMFPHP 1.0 which is still in beta I heaviliy used the documentation which is created with DokuWiki.
I set up a DokuWiki for my own project I am currently running and I am very pleased with the features and its simplicity.

But if you need to support many users and have many pages, DokuWiki may not be the best choice because it seems to have some scalability problems.

I have installed DokuWiki on a couple of sites recently, and because these sites wanted to impose their own styles on DokuWiki I have been doing alot of work with templates.
I have now built a plugin for DokuWiki that lets me use Smarty and apart from a few hacks (to replace inc/html.php) it works really well with a standard DokuWiki installation.
It seems to only happen with dokuwiki -- uploading the same (large) image from that PC to a different server (with HTTP POST) it gets through fine, so I don't think it's an IE setting or something.

Installation is simple, just unzip the file into the folder lib/tpl in your DokuWiki install, and set monobook as your template in the configuration manager.
Also, please turn off “Compact CSS and Javascript files” in the configuration manager because this option is broken and generally causes problems with templates.
Monobook now conforms better to the new DokuWiki CSS namespace… this improves rendering in plugins and rendering in general (Found by Eric H.)
