 | | I tend to agree that the 13A plug is somewhat over-engineered and, with hindsight, could have been a little more elegant.  However, it is very robust and unlikely to suffer from the potential problems of mechanical damage incurred by the use of âbent tin and flimsy plasticsâ beloved of some of the plugs encountered abroad. |
 | | Sockets in my own home are permanently occupied by power units needed by the four DECT phones, doorbell, burglar alarm, digital set-top box, bedside clock/radio and a modem/router, all of which are left switched on. |
