The Penguin: Lyric Interpretations: Don't Stop
Don't Stop was the third single from Fleetwood Mac's phenomenal Rumours album, and most certainly helped fuel the fire that was Fleetwood Mac in the 1970s.
Don't Stop was written during the recording of the Rumours album in 1976 around the time that John and Christine McVie were breaking up.
Christine was knew she was going to leave John for good by the point this song was written, but she wanted him to look toward the future.

If I had to pick my favorite songs from the show, I'd have to say "Rhiannon", "Don't Stop" and my favorite Fleetwood Mac song, "Landslide".
Apparently Fleetwood Mac has a new, younger fan base that "rediscovered" their music after the Dixie Chicks (a band I really don't care for much) remade "Landslide" (and can I just add that it grates on my soul to hear anyone but Stevie Nicks sing that song).
They played almost all my favorite vintage Fleetwood songs from both Fleetwood Mac and Rumors, plus a bunch of their newer stuff from Say You Will.

I mean, I don't know what one would think of when they hear a song like that, for example.
And I luckily ended up doing it in the studio, you know, but all these guys had to be diving down into pits of sand with Fender guitars everywhere.

Portland Mercury - Music - Dream On
The song "Into The Dream," off her new record, Somniloquy, is a bit of a nod to Fleetwood Mac (its forward motion not unlike the elephant marching of "Tusk"), but more dangerous.
The white noise and guitar distortion she uses is further off the rails than Fleetwood Mac would ever allow.
Somniloquy (roughly, dream songs) isn't built around trends, but tethered to songcraft.

 Tusk - Fleetwood Mac
The interpretation to this album was compiled after a month long discussion on the message board of the Penguin, The Ledge, with input from the interpretations from all of the individual songs contained on this album.
Her first song on the album, also the first song on the album, is "Over and Over." The album begins with the feeling that everything is over.
Whereas Rumours almost tore them apart, Tusk brought them back together and paved the way for other albums like "Mirage" and "Tango in the Night".The reason people don't like this album is because they expected one thing and got something completely different.

 Rumours
The new lineup that Fleetwood Mac successfully unveiled with their eponymous 1975 album became even more successful with the multi-platinum Rumours, which was the band's most celebrated album and one of the best-selling albums of all time.
While "Rumours" can be described as an album with country-pop tunes such as "Second Hand News", "I don't want to know" and "Gold dust woman" Rumours can also be described as a folk rock album which is evident in tracks such as "Never going back again".
The sad thing about this album is that one of the greatest songs ever written by Stevie Nicks would not appear on this album.

Long Run by Eagles (lyrics & reviews)
Long Run: The leadoff track is one of the best songs on the album and it's a pretty happy song sung by Don Henley and I think that this was their first single off of the album, 10/10.
The Long Run was placed in the same vein of Tusk by Fleetwood Mac, The Wall by Pink Floyd and Cornerstone by Styx, whom were all having similar problems with either topping the previous hit or inner band turmoil.
Lacking the acoustic country-flavours of the Eagles' first four records, "The Long Run" is a straight-ahead rock record with plenty of excellent songs and almost as many mediocre or downright bad ones.

I was only 9 years old when this album was released in 1990, but came upon years later at a used record store, after I became a die-hard Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks fan.
Christine McVie's songs on this album are extremely strong and simply beautiful.
