RAYE and RANMA are still standing on the ledge with their backs to the wall, listening to the sounds of the fight.
RAYE and RANMA peer over the edge, and see that UKYOU -- who is now radiating Dark Power -- is holding SHAMPOO a foot off the ground, with her left hand tightly grasping her throat, while ramming the handle of her battle spatula into her lower chest, causing her to jerk in pain.
RAYE There's not a hell of a lot that we *can* do, unless you'd care to try and coax her out of the Cat-Fist, which will allow the demon to regenerate and kill us all.

After starting to write songs to liven up his act, Raye realized that his work was not only good enough to sell to others, but that this might constitute a better living than the vaudeville stage; especially as he reached his 20s, the peak decade for any dancer's ability.
Raye had a special knack for adapting slang expressions and alliterative words to catchy musical hooks: "Beat Me Daddy, Eight to the Bar," for example, used the words "clink" and "clank" more musically (and memorably, and coyly, in the hands of the trio) than anyone could have thought possible.
Raye was a fully integrated member of Schoen's orchestra for a time as well, going out on the road during their first tour as their leader while Schoen played trumpet and trombone with the band.
