Hong Kong warns of monkey virus
Although Hong Kong is known for its densely populated urban neighborhoods, the city also has large tracts of park space and undeveloped mountainous areas, where the monkeys live.
Donald Lam, a spokesman for Hong Kong's Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, said officials are monitoring the cases in Taiwan but have not begun testing monkeys in Hong Kong.
He added that the conservation department usually tells people to stay away from the animals even when there's no threat of infection because feeding or having other contact with the monkeys affects their natural behavior.

Craig's Book Club reviews Top of the Heap by Erle Stanley Gardner writing as A.A. Fair (Hard Case Crime)
The Cool and Lam books numbered 29 and were published between 1939 and 1970, around the same time that Gardner was writing the Mason novels.
Though Top of the Heap is the thirteenth in the series, it also serves as a fine introduction to the characters, though mostly Lam, as the legman, is featured.
Some entries of the series are reported to focus more on her but Top of the Heap offers just enough for us to still find her amusing without crossing over into annoyance.

Cool heads their detective agency and basically plays the Great Detective role, and Lam does the legwork for the firm, performing the great majority of the actual investigating.
There is only one Cool and Lam novel currently in print, as far as I can determine, from the Hard Case Crime specialty house.
