Bob Dylan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dylan is most widely recognized for headlining a thrilling zeitgeist of the 1960s, when some of his songs, such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are A-Changin'"[1], became anthems of the anti-war and civil rights movements.
His most famous songs of the time are typified by "Blowin' In The Wind", its melody partially derived from the traditional slave song "No More Auction Block", coupled with Dylan's original lyrics challenging the social and political status quo.
Most well-regarded of these outtakes were "Blind Willie McTell", "Foot of Pride", "Someone's Got a Hold of My Heart" and "Lord Protect My Child", which were later released on the boxed set The Bootleg Series Volumes 1-3 (Rare and Unreleased) 1961-1991.
