CTEC is an aerial lift manufacturer based in North America.
CTEC is the successor company to Thiokol's ski lift division, founded by in 1976 by Jan Leonard and Mark Ballantyne, who had worked for Theokol since the early 1970s.
In 1992, CTEC merged with Garaventa, and in 2002, Garaventa merged with Doppelmayr, making CTEC part of the Doppelmayr empire, although CTEC chairlift designs continue to be built.

Doppelmayr CTEC workers used helicopters capable of carrying up to 8,000 pounds to remove the old lift towers and install the new ones.

The Master Plan calls for the installation of five new lifts and upgrades to six existing lifts, increasing lift capacity from the Timber Creek area to the Mountain Village and constructing an on-mountain restaurant at the top of Caples Crest.
Kirkwood Mountain Resort has signed a contract with Doppelmayr CTEC to construct the new Timber Creek Express that will replace Chair 7.
Doppelmayr, based in Salt Lake, is expected to be on site installing the new lift in July.

Doppelmayr ranks as the forerunner of this system, the first of which was installed on the 8-CLD Les Tommeuses in Tignes in 2002 (transport capacity 4,500 PPH).
In the case of Tichots, Doppelmayr was awarded the contract in May 2005 and the installation went into service at the end of November, following a six-month construction period.

The auditors criticized a decision by the Parks and Recreation Department to suspend competitive bidding and award a $2.3 million contract to Doppelmayr CTEC, of Golden, Colo., for the gondola replacement in Riverfront Park.
Parks officials had said they chose Doppelmayr because they were convinced the worldwide company was the only one that could fill their needs.
In an official response included in the audit, the city apparently conceded the point, noting it offers training to employees who make purchases.

I wouldn't consider an old Hall a Doppelmayr CTEC lift now even though Hall is part of that empire.
But, I've heard times when one company is calling a lift at another mountain a Doppelmayr CTEC when infact it was built by Doppelmayr before the merger.
