Doreen is a fellow and life member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and a former Major Examiner, Committee and Council Member.

Doreen was a committee member of the Modern Theatre Branch from 1970 for 16 years, during which time she collaborated on the compilation of all new major Modern dance and Tap syllabi.
