In 1978, Dorothy took a brief break from the limelight to be with her family, but she returned to performing publicly in 1982 (Myers 6).

The Moores were devout Christians of the Seventh Day Adventist denomination, while the Hegeners and John Holt did not openly express any religious preference or perspective.
