Under Morton, a slight move was made towards the establishment of a kind of episcopacy in the church, though the persons he appointed to the sees were mere creatures who consented to be receivers of the revenues on his account.
The government, under the Regent Morton, gave a favourable ear to the project, and it was further encouraged by the bishops, superintendents, and other leading men of the kirk.
Morton freely told Wedderburn that ‘he thought it not his best course; "For," said he, "you never got any good of that house, and if it were once taken out of the way, you are next— and it may be you will get small thanks for your pains."

There should be no quibbling about that.- And I likewise agree with Morton Bahr, the President of the Communication Workers of America, that:
Because I am deeply committed to the principal of work place democracy, I cannot join in any statement that proclaims that you can have fully effective worker management cooperation programs without having a truly equal partnership based upon workers having an independent voice.
Given the legal and factual uncertainties that exist as to the scope of 8(a)(2), and the danger that any statutorily- created exception would be an invitation to abuse, at the very least the prudent course would be to allow the administrative and judicial processes to address the issue of "incidental discussion" in the first instance.

And Dunlop pointed out that in the Letter Hasdai asks a number of questions about Khazaria which Joseph fails to answer — which is certainly not the way to write an information pamphlet:
There is no answer forthcoming on the part of Joseph to enquiries as to his method of procession to his place of worship, and as to whether war abrogates the Sabbath.… There is a marked absence of correspondence between questions of the Letter and answers given in the Reply.
This should probably be regarded as an indication that the documents are what they purport to be and not a literary invention.

 The Truth about the Republic's Protestant Population - Scotch-Irish / Ulster-Scots Forums
Dean William Morton, of St Columb's Church of Ireland Cathedral, claimed that the decision to re-locate Foyle and Londonderry College in the Waterside, will only add to the polarisation of the city.
He said that it would do little to encourage Protestants to return to live on the west bank of the River Foyle, where the vast majority of the population come from the nationalist community.
Dean Morton, whose son attends Foyle and Londonderry College, the last secondary level state school on the west bank, said: "In terms of the future of the city, it is regrettable that people are shortsighted, to the extent that they think that simply moving out is going to be the answer.
