		The objective of the study was to assess the interest that companies would show in locating activities at Dourges, considering, on the one hand, the rent for warehouses or the price of purchasing serviced land, and, on the other hand, the quality of the combined transport services that would be provided.
		The study is based on the stated preferences of 150 high-rank managers of Belgian and French companies that are the target of the market for the planned logistic and multi-modal facilities of Dourges.
		The study has enabled to provide curves of the variation of the demand for facilities and services at the Dourges platform, as a function of the proposed prices, the physical characteristics of the facilities and services and the characteristics of the enterprises onto the market.

		The Germans, with typical efficiency, have gone part way towards this and have introduced family compartments in some ICE trains, which is odd really, because I have hardly ever seen a German child disturb anyone…
		Some way out of Lille we pass in the distance the showpiece tri-modal (rail, road and canal) terminal at Dourges.
		Paid for with a lot of public money, it is not yet particularly busy and much of the traffic it does have has been transferred from other terminals.
