Dovecote was born about two winters ago in Matt's shed where Keith and Matt jammed to crappy little guitar riffs they were coming up with on the spot along with Pixies, Nirvana and Foo Fighters songs.
Keith was close friends with Daniel at the time and decided to ask him if he was up for playing bass in a random little grunge band, Daniel accepted and the three of them crammed themselves into the shed with their instruments and jammed like hell to realise it was sounding not bad.
Dovecote eventually decided it was time to take a massive step in life after practicing in Matt's shed for many months and moved on to Daniel's garage.

The dovecote is actually an exemplary nutrient attractor, a paragon of permaculture principles, and a long-forgotten mainstay of sustainability.
But that said, a more theoretical analysis: dovecotes act as an attractor, channeling already existing natural forces to create an accumulation of energy at a place, and in a form, that is highly useable to small-scale, localized endeavors such as horticulture.
While tenants and others were permitted to keep a few pairs of doves in their roof-attics, a dovecot, such as that at Ballybeg, was the exclusive prerogative of the landowner who, in turn, was restricted to one nest per arpent, a medieval French measure of land of about an acre and a quarter.
