Dover is the capital of Delaware, a state of the United States of America.
ILC Dover, in nearby Frederica, is the producer of fabrics for military and aerospace uses, along with being the primary contractor for the production of the Apollo and Skylab spacesuits and the spacesuit assembly for the Space Shuttle extravehicular mobility unit, or EMU for short.
Dover is also the home of Delaware State University and Wesley College.

Crews from Dover Engines 7, 6, and 4 threw ground ladders, vented the structure, placed a second 1 3/4" handline in service, cut the power to the structure, pulled siding from the exterior, checked exposure B1 for extention (negative results), and checked the attic for extention (negative results).
The fire displaced one family, and the incident is under investigation by the City of Dover Fire Marshals office.
Dover Fire Department units were dispatched at 08:37 to the above location for a report of fire coming from the roof of the building.
