  Trees in Mythology, Legend, Symbolism and Religion
The ‘Major Oak’ as it is known, is now a focus for tourists who come to see something living linking them directly to the legend.
The last word goes to the Yew tree in Doveridge, Derbyshire, said to be up to 1,400 years old.
Legend has it that under this tree Robin married Maid Marrion.
