	Brainstorm: Star Wars Dovin Basals
		For those who don't know what the heck this "dovin basal" thingy is, it's essentially a Yuuzhan Vong (the new Star Wars Baddies) ship-system (creature, actually) that can control gravity to such an extreme manner that it can project fl holes outside the ship to intercept incoming weapons fire, missles, etc.
		So: you have a definable number of fl holes per dovin basal (I'd guess 2 or 3 BH's for each dovin basal ship system) per ship (multiple dovins per ship, with fighters usually having one) that can swallow up X amount of energy, and can reposition themselves to shield any portion of a ship's hull.
		Therefore, the more a ship's dovin basals are actively defending the ship from attack, the slower and less maneuverable that ship would be.

		If the Basals are unstable and colapse after a short time, then the replicators just need to resist the gravity for a little while.

		The gravity wells they use could be easily dealt with since SF types can manipulate gravity well (the NR used their inertial compensators to knock out Vong Dovin Basals the Feds have similar tech and are much more familiar with on the fly modifications).
		The hulls of the Vong seem like they were made to be sliced by phasers (since phasers are material dependant) and photon torps could easily be set to go off in a similar manner to a area effect weapon.
		Their basals could prove to a pain in the rectum for feddy ships at least because they only ever seem to fire one phaser at a time nice and slow which a wouldn't be too hard for the basals to absorb/deflect or whatever well apart from the defiant of course.
