		There are a number of approaches into the National Park, but most visitors arrive via the southern towns of Bled or Bohinj.
		The best starting point are definitely the villages Dovje and Mojstrana with three the most famous valleys - Vrata, Kot and Krma.
		Dovje-Mojstrana, a thousand-year-old-village,beautifully laid out among terraced fields and orchards along the southeren foot of the step sunny slopes of the Karavanke, a village with many typical features of alpine architecture preserved, the most outstanding being the arched doorways of farmhouses.

	Julische Alpen
		Met een stralend blauwe lucht gingen we op pad, na een rustige wandeling over een breed pad bereikten we het smalle pad dat ons naar Slovenië zal voeren.
		De afdaling begon rustig maar na een 200m dalen ging het via een smal glibberig, van de afgelopen dagen gevallen regen, pad steil naar beneden naar Dovje op 705m.
		Om 12.30 uur waren we weer terug bij het pension in Dovje waar we onze rugzakken hadden achter gelaten, na deze te hebben op gehaald zijn we weer op pad gegaan richting de Aljazev Dom (hut) op 1015m hoogte, een rustige wandeling met maar 300m stijgen via Mostrana door het Vrata dal.

	Obcina Medvode - Civilna zascita in pozarna varnost
		On the tower you may see a plaque in honour of the famous Slovene Jakob Aljaz (priest, advocat, mountaineer, composer, poet and 'national morale booster') who was born in the village of Zavrh below on 6th July 1845 (this date now celebrated as Medvode community honour day).
		He died in Dovje in Gorenjska in 1927.
