  DOW MEDICAL COLLEGE KARACHI
Dow Medical College is the second oldest medical college in Pakistan and the oldest undergraduate medical institution in the province of Sindh.
This college was formally inaugurated by Governor of Sindh, Sir Francis Moodie in Hyderabad in 1945.
Dow Medical College is one of the four medical institutions in the country to be selected to pilot a major change in the existing under-graduate curriculum, and is the sole institution to have successfully field tested this Community Oriented Medical Education program.

Sindh medical College was established in 1973 by Sindh Government and is clinically attached to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and national Institute of Child Health.

It was the fourth Medical College of the province.
The College was established in a building, which already existed as Government Polytechnic Institute and D.C. High School Larkana, which were converted into Chandka Medical College, with Professor Ali Mohammad Ansari as its first Principal and Project Director.
The Chandka Medical College, is recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (R.M.D.C.) and also by General Medical Council (G.M.C.) of England.

The New England Female medical College required a "good English Education" and "a thesis on some medical subject." Six professorships were maintained in the theory and practice of medicine, materiamedica/chemistry/therapeutics, anatomy, principle and practice of surgery and medical jurisprudence, obstetrics and diseases of women and children, and physiology/hygiene.
One of her assistants at the Sanitarium, Dr. Clara Swain, was a sister graduate of the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania who later went on to become a medical missionary in India, where she was to establish the first hospital for women in Asia.
She was rejected, as a woman, from Harvard Medical School and from others in England, and instead became the first woman to register at the Women's Medical College of New York Infirmary.

The Medical College of Wisconsin has agreed to pay the federal government $8.9 million to settle a claim that the school did not properly document Medicare billing from 1990 to '95.
The college is among a group of medical colleges nationwide that agreed to an independent audit of some of their patient records to determine if they properly billed the federal Medicare program for the work of physicians.
The Medical College has 700 residents, physicians who have completed four years of medical education and received medical degrees but are still receiving training in areas of specialization.
