Doylestown is the name of both a borough and the adjacent township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, 34 miles (55 km) north of Philadelphia.

The Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors held a public hearing April 18 to approve an ordinance imposing a maximum $1,000 fine for tobacco product littering and a maximum $300 fine for other types of littering.
That's because, according to Police Chief Stephen J. White, that offense falls under the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, which already carries a fine of $300, and the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code prohibits local governments from enacting and enforcing ordinances for behavior already prohibited in the Vehicle Code.
After the votes, Lyons, who encouraged her colleagues to consider the ordinances in the first place, said she was pleased with the results.
