In the Dr. Octagon album, by contrast, Keith took that same abject content, and sublimated it into hyperspace with an update of the Sun Ra/P-Funk black sci-fi tradition, hooked up some sleek alien tracks and scratches by Automator, thereby producing the final classic hip-hop album of the 1990s.
