Dragon 64 review. Your Computer January 1984
DRAGON DATA has refused to accept the challenge offered by newer arrivals on the market such as the Electron or the Elan and instead of producing a new machine has concentrated on enhancing its old one.
The 64 then is a powerful business machine if one wishes to make use of the RS-232 port and/or OS-9 with discs but for the ordinary man in the street there seem to be few advantages and even some disadvantages.
The Dragon 64 is really a Dragon 32 with extra memory, an RS-232 port and auto-repeat on the keyboard.

 Dragon 32/64 - Definition, explanation
The Dragons were very similar to the TRS-80 Color Computer, and were produced for the European market by Dragon Data, Ltd., in Port Talbot, Wales.
Numerous peripherals existed for the Dragon 32/64, and on top of this there were add-ons such as the Dragon's Claw which gave the Dragons access to the BBC Micro's large range of accessories (a particularly important factor in the UK home market).
A minor difference between the two Dragon models was the outer case color; the Dragon 32 was beige and the 64 was light grey.

Dragon Data weren't too worried as it wasn't in their interests to have too many retailers competing on price, and with the capacity at the plant not large enough for demand others were only receiving a restricted allocation.
Dragon Data announced that the 32 would be launched in the US that year, and after discussion with three interested American companies it would be manufactured in the US for economic reasons as a joint venture with the chosen US company.
Dragon Data's policy on recovering the huge licensing fee payable to the owners was the "pile it high and sell it cheap" method; their thinking that it was better to get lots of cheap sales than few expensive.

Dragon 32/64   (Site not responding. Last check: )
The Dragon 32 was introduced at the end of 1982.
The later published operating system for the Dragon, OS/9, was also remarkable because it appears years later as OS/9 68K for the Atari ST. The Dragon 64 (picture) had a different case, the extended memory and a RS232-C-Interface built-in.
The Dragon 32 was a revolutionary design - for the UK at least - in that it broke away from tradition and offered a Motorola 6809 microprocessor at its heart instead of the more popular, but less powerful, Zilog Z80 and Mostek 6502 ICs.

 Dragon User December 1983
At first sight the new Dragon 64 looks just like the well established Dragon 32 as the same case and keyboard are used, although the case is grey instead of beige (to indicate the enormous memory' perhaps?) and the number on the logo has changed.
The reason for this is that Dragon Data has taken care to ensure that the new model is as compatible as possible with the old and hen you first fire up the 64 you are running a machine which is configured as a Dragon 32.
Dragon Data says there will be no problems with any of their own software and a quick check of a range of independent offerings did not reveal any difficulties.

THEM Anime Reviews 4.0 - Dragon Ball GT
I had hope for this series a year or so ago, when I head the opening theme as a mp3, and when I finally got to watch the anime, I thought it would be an interesting series judging from the opening.
Dragon Ball GT was originally conceived with the hope of combining the martial arts fighting of Dragon Ball Z with the humor of Dragon Ball.
Just like the later villains of Dragon Ball Z, the villains here are ugly, loathable (and not in the good way) power-hungry freakazoids with no personality whatsoever, and the battles between the villains and Goku and company are dragged out (though not as much as DBZ).
