	Anime Tempy
		Dragon Half felt like the beginning of a much longer series that was, thankfully, scrapped at the last minute.
		Mink is the daughter of a human warrior and a red dragon, and a big fan of warrior-idol Dick Saucer.
		Dragon Half's production values are strictly average, but nonetheless it had me in stitches throughout; it's a shame though that there's only 2 episodes of it.

		Dragon Half is a parody, a comedy, a huge laughball of a show.
		The first half of the first episode and the second half of the second one are so hysterical that I couldn't even control my laughter at times...this is one kooky show that is just perfect.

		The back of Dragon Half's new DVD proclaims: "The funniest anime ever made."-Just about everybody; while this may not be entirely true, the fact that it is a riotous convolution of insanity, manic voice acting, and absolute rejection of plot.
		Dragon Half, while older, is one of the foundations to that peculiar form of anime that posits the chibi and weird over story, plot, and other nessundry concerns.
		I will not say that Dragon Half is a barometer of any sort, but it is a good introduction to the humorous side of anime just as Princess Mononoke is a good introduction to the more dramatic and artistic end.

		As dumb as it may be, Dragon Half is smart enough not to outstay its welcome, and signs off before the audience can become numb to the sheer ridiculousness of it all, keeping them in stitches ‘til the very end.
		But the denizens of Dragon Half seem to get stuck in SD mode for five or ten minutes a stretch.to the point where the action appears to be taking place in two parallel universes.
		Dragon Half represents the latest effort by ADV to get their remaining backlist of older titles out on DVD format.

		A good way to look at it, would be to compare the power of the half-mist dragon without his spell-like abilities, to the power of a half-celestial with his spell-like abilities.
		I would say that the other bonuses of a half-mist dragon are worth about LA +2, and the spell-like abilities are worth LA +1, for a total of +3.
		I don't consider the half-mist dragon's two breath weapons to be unbalanced or a real advantage over a normal typical dragon's single breath weapon.

		In a rather odd fantasy world lives Mink, a Dragon-Half--half red dragon and half human (dragon slayer, in fact; her father was commanded to slay a dragon, and ended up eloping with her).
		There isn't much else to say, really, but just in case some exceptionally dense viewers might have missed the fact that Dragon Half doesn't have a serious frame in it, probably three quarters of the production is in SD (with the huge heads, and the chubby little bodies).
		Anyway, Dragon Half is about as un-serious as anime comes, and it has as much absolutely ridiculous animation, fantasy parodies, really basic humor, and SD as you'll find anywhere.
