	DragonForce - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		DragonForce originally formed in 1999 from the remnants of Black Metal band Demoniac (and various other extreme metal groups) under the name of Dragonheart, but soon changed their name to DragonForce before releasing any commercial albums due to possible trademark issues with a Brazilian band of the same title.
		DragonForce claims that their music is not produced to be wholly serious and the lyrics, which pertain usually to fantasy subjects such as battles, swords, quests and heroes, support this.
		DragonForce have stated that they base their music on fantasy-related materials such as video games including "Wonder Boy in Monster World" (a game for the Sega Megadrive console), and carries lyrical themes which are sometimes similar to those of, for example, The Lord of the Rings, relating to fantasy subjects and battles.

		DragonForceï¿½s main selling point is their duo of virtuosic guitarists: Herman Li (Chun Li?) and Sam Totman have a long history together, having come together as a pairing in 1998 when Li (then known as ï¿½Shredï¿½) joined Totmanï¿½s (a.k.a ï¿½Heimdallï¿½) speed metal project Demoniac.
		While this may not be DragonForceï¿½s masterpiece, itï¿½s definitely a step in the right direction for me. Perhaps with the addition of a sixth member, bassist Fred LeClerqe, DragonForce will assemble the collection of songs to adequately compliment their already well-refined sound.
		Dragonforce is essentially a one trick pony; aside from a rare few cases, they tend to follow the exact same pattern, throughout three albums, no less.

	Dragonforce + Edguy @ Astoria, London : gig review
		Following a rapturously received intro soundtrack of metal godfathers Slayer, power metal's latest poster men Dragonforce take to the stage, smash into their opening number and turn their fanatical audience into a frenzied sea of flailing locks and raised fists.
		Nearly eight minutes (and many double tap guitar solos) later we are wished a good evening by front man ZP Theart who, we are to discover, likes to swear, shake his clenched fist while singing and have his mic stand thrown on stage to him after every instrumental solo.
		Although the majority of the audience either do not notice this rather cheeky gesture or are too amused to break it to the band, the real test of Dragonforce's sense of humour will be to see if this episode makes it on to the DVD that tonight's show is being filmed for.

		The room got dark they walked on and exploded into Black Fire, Zp's vocals sounded very close to those we hear on the record but all of the instruments were all kind of packed together so it was tough to destinguish them all the time.
		Tickets were $40 this was at the NEHMF so there where many bands that accompanied Dragonforce like Into Eternity, Gamma Ray (headliners) and Wolf who all put on great shows.
		Other than BCC it was worth every penny and I was reluctant to go because of the price (I don't know why) and I'm extremely glad I did it was the best time of my life and I will drive to NY to see them again if I have to.

	Albums of Purgatory interview Dragonforce
		Herman Li: The album is coming along great, although we had delays due to the change of studios from Denmark back to England but this gave us the possibility to make it sound even better.
		The demo was recorded in 7 days and so far we have been recording for over a month.
		DragonForce is a real band started from nothing working our way up, not those super groups of that guy from that band and all that.

		The new golden boys of hyped up nonsense “DragonForce” bring their third offering to the table with “Inhuman Rampage” - and with it they certainly bring a refreshed, thundering production - with more “widdle” than you can shake a handful of fine English cheddar at.
		What I do have to fault is Dragonforce’s lack of progression from album to album.
		If you are an avid fan of Dragonforce then you will most likely love “Inhuman Rampage” — if you couldn’t stand DF before then this album certainly won’t change your mind.
