Dragoon (StarCraft) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dragoons are created from Zealots who have been crippled or mortally injured in combat and are thus unable to continue fighting in their preferred manner - with a pair of psionic blades.
Dragoons are somewhat ostracized by other Protoss, however, and they frequently see themselves as lesser units.
Dragoon weaponry consists of a psychically shielded bolt of antimatter, capable of being directed towards both air and ground units.

Dragoons also prove to be extremely useful in "island" warfare, particularly as mobile anti-air defense in the early game.
In either case, the Dragoons should be kept in a spread out formation to decrease the chance of multiple Dragoons being lost to the Reaver's considerable splash damage.
Dragoons are fairly susceptible to groups of Mutalisks as their "ricochet" attack can fare well against groups of Large sized targets.

Starcraft is more than simply a game of battle-strategy.
Starcraft D6 is mainly about story-telling and the adventures of individual characters.
In Starcraft D6, “resources” include not only minerals and Vespene gas, but processed raw materials, manufactured products, and other natural resources--essentially anything that will be helpful to the production of a base.

Since the 1.04 patch, also known as, "The Protoss patch", dragoons have become one of the best and most widely used protoss unit.
Protoss vs Protoss will often be a dragoon vs dragoon battle and what will give you the upper hand is going to be a massed dragoon force followed by reaver and/or templar support.
A small group of carriers (4) with your dragoons, reavers, and templars also makes for a deadly combination.

Due to their quick build speed (same build time as a zealot), and their range upgrade increased by 1, Dragoons are good against a variety of units.
Dragoons along with reavers are a pretty good unit combo that will mess up anyone's day, and their peon line :).

What this example/tutorial intends to do is make the Protoss Dragoon move four times as fast, teaching the subject how frames work, what is possible speed-wise in ICE, and how to do most of the animation editing with a little bit of experimentation.
Since we are using the Protoss Dragoon as our example, click on the Main Headers tab on the top tablist, and find Protoss Dragoon in the combo box labeled Header.
Since the dragoon moves every time his frame changes, it will be useless to remove the delays, except to remove the animation and make him appear to hover.

However, the high damage, Splash damage effect and Normal Damage Types (StarCraft) make it very powerful against groups of weak units such as Zerglings or Marines, and the long range can be used to take out defensive structures with impunity, although it lacks the range of the Siege Tank.
Dragoon rush: Similar to the Zealot rush, a group of 4-12 Dragoons can wreak havoc in the early-middle stages of a game.
In addition to the Zealot strategies, the long (upgraded) range of Dragoons often enables them to hit key targets with impunity, especially if the enemy is overly reliant on static defense.

Dragoons are perfect units to get rid of huge Carriers/Battlecruisers fleets as they deal a hefty 26 damage (when fully upgraded) each and have fairly good range.

The StarCraft manual is fairly ordinary: a 95-page grayscale booklet, complete with illustrations, a thorough discussion of the history surrounding the game, told from the perspective of all races involved.
Additionally, StarCraft includes a handy building development chart for each of the three races, illustrating what buildings mutate and what components can be added onto them.
The most fearsome enemy any StarCraft player can see is a force of twelve Protoss carriers descending on his base (or even worse: twelve stealth carriers via the arbiter unit!) Almost no amount of defensive planning can stop a carefully planned twelve-carrier assault.

After this, the dragoon allowes a small portion of the energy to be released into the rearranged magnetic field.
My main diagreement with the psionic thoery is that it seems unlikely that the dragoon would have enough psionic control to keep control of a psionic projectiel (sp?) or even form a stable/substancial ball of energy.

4) In Starcraft, only nine commands can be given to one unit at once and you can't see what has been queued or in what order, nor can you undo any queued commands and the commands can only be spells or movement orders.
Projectiles in Total Annihilation use a physics engine to determine whether they hit or miss their targets and the damage is determined by how close the explosion was to the target.
