 | | The curators of the current exhibit, Terri Gregory and Milford Cushman, selected painter Peter Dreissigacker, weaver Elizabeth Billings and woodturner Alan Stirt, to be the artists of Then and Now Part I. Dreissigacker first showed his artwork at HDAC in 1992 as part of the exhibit Sports in Art: Contemporary Artists and Sports Equipment Designers. |
 | | Perhaps best known publicly as co-founder of Concept2, a manufacturer of racing oars and rowing machines, Dreissigacker paints almost every day and views painting as a “second career.” His work on exhibit provides particular witness to the discipline and dimension of his vision as a painter, as it has evolved over many years. |
 | | Dreissigacker’s “A Painting A Day for 240 Days” is installed in a circular hanging that includes 240 lyrical paintings like quilts of painted color that envelope the viewer. |
