Dresden is a town in Lincoln County, Maine, United States that was incorporated in 1794.
The town was originally settled in 1752 under the name Frankfort by French and German Huguenots, part of the first wave of French speaking immigrants to arrive in Maine.

Dresden, is the most westerly town in Lincoln County.
Dresden was formerly a part of Pownalboro, which embraced the town of Alna, Wiscasset and Perkins.
Dresden formed what was known as the west precinct of Pownalborough, the east being Alna, and the south Wiscasset; and these, in 1794, were incorporated as a town, taking its name from the German town from which some of the inhabitants had emigrated under the auspices of General Waldo.

Michael Meisner, Maine Yankee President, spoke on the recent state legislation, the LPT and the effect the termination of the Stone & Webster's contract on the decom-missioning.
Victoria Donoghy, Waldboro, while holding her child with a birth defect, asked Maine Yankee and the NRC, "Please consider the health of the children of Maine." Maine Yankee President answered "We will have the best decom-mission ever." Donoghy also asked why the NRC could not test for the 10/4 standard instead of the 25mr.
Maine Yankee, NRC and the public all agreed on that, perhaps that was the only thing agreed upon during the three hour meeting.
