		Drizzt, a dark elf (drow), is an anti-stereotype for his race, preferring friendship and peace to the hatred and violence characteristic of his people.
		Drizzt’s unusual nature creates ample conflict for Salvatore to turn into epic stories of friendship and noble courage (and in turn a voluminous number of novels).
		Not only is Drizzt supposed to break the mold for his own fictional people, the drow, but also for his genre of fiction.

	Drizzt Is Not Stupid
		It is all too easy to buff Drizzt up to demi-god status (and speaking of that, the BG designers already did that to him to a certain degree), but I hate that sort of thing as well.
		Although this mod does create the opportunity for Drizzt to reappear at a later time, his role is still restricted to a brief cameo, as was clearly intended.
		Please note that Drizzt has been slightly toned down to make him play by the rules -- no more 10 attacks per round and flat-rate 30 point damage bonuses, since I am assuming these aspects of his original incarnation were designed to hasten his gnoll slaughtering.

		i don't really remember of the top of my head the role gwen played within the drizzt stories, plus i haven't read too many, but if i remember correctly, and gwen stats are that of a regular panther, game mechanics wise she doesn't appear to powerful.
		Gwens real purpse was when Drizzt lived in the wilds of underdark for like 10 years that was his only companion.
		in my opinion, drizzt being drizzt and with the stats reflected in the FRCS for both drizzt and gwen, i feel that gwen would probably not be that useful in combat for drizzt, if looked at it from the game mechanic-rules point of view.

		As a side note, an interesting idea and well done character development is the fact that the drow Drizzt is having to hide his identity because of the racist overworld and his heritage.
		The books are so incredibly well written that the reader feels that they have been transported to another universe and are actually present among the characters, seeing what they see, feeling what they feel, sensing what they sense.
		It was amazing to see someone who was an equal to Drizzt when it came to a thrown down.
