Trade in illegal drugs is driven by the economics of greed and poverty, and in many cases by addiction.
Each drug calls for different hierarchies and professions, different skills, etc. It's a true trade -- several very different trades, in fact, which is why this subject requires separate headers (and preferably separate articles) for each drug -- and this much should not be understated.
