The druzhina responsibility was handed down from father to son -- it was property of the house (the family).
The majority of the druzhina were comrades-in-arms, not counselors to the prince and nobles.
Members of the druzhina were the closest associates of the prince and military and commercial advisors, and they acted as the prince's administrative agents in local affairs.

Originally the boyars were the intimate friends and confidential advisers of the Russian prince, the superior members of his druzhina or bodyguard, his comrades and champions.
The townsmen devote themselves henceforth more exclusively to commerce, while the druzhina asserts the privileges of an exclusively military caste with a primary claim upon the land.
Still later, when the courts of the northern grand dukes were established, the boyars appear as the first grade of a full-blown court aristocracy with the exclusive privilege of possessing land and serfs.

Druzhina - Professional Warriors, I would place them second, their use of the bow made them versatile.
Anyway, imho druzhina should be less armored than feudal knights, little faster, and, since fighting was their life, a little better in attack, but weaker in defence.
I woul NOT give both Feudal Knights and Druzhina higher charge values, as opposed to Ghulam these two used their spears for stabbing (that's until lance was introduced).

The druzhina was not entirely as it is portrayed, and perceived by many: that it is a group of nobleman indebted to the prince.
The druzhina, as a definition, is a group of people, mostly of noble or high importance, that are gathered from various parts of the Slavic tribes and Rus principalities, to advise and influence the Prince—the final decision in all.
Also, the druzhina’s job was to fallow the Prince on his campaigns, plan his system of government, and collect tribute, settle scores, and influence him for their benefit.
