Vegetatively it could not be excluded from any of the major genera of the Davalliaceae, but the peltate indusium is totally anomalous in that family.
Although the scandent habit and Davallia-like rachis structure is not typical of the Dryopteridaceae, examples are known and it appears plausible to include Rumohra here until the matter is resolved.
Often Dryopteridaceae is combined with Hypoderriaceae, sometimes with Lomariopsidaceae, Athryiaceae and Thelypteridaceae, into a large family, the Aspidiaceae.

The Dryopteridaceae includes many (Any of numerous flowerless and seedless vascular plants having true roots from a rhizome and fronds that uncurl upward; reproduce by spores) ferns prized as (Any plant grown for its beauty or ornamental value) ornamentals, including the Wood ferns, Holly ferns, Florist's fern, and others.
All of the (Compound leaf of a fern or palm or cycad) fronds of Dryopteridaceae ferns contain sori (reproductive clusters) on the underside of the pinnae (leaflets), unlike some other ferns which have separate specialized reproductive fronds.
Many have stout, creeping (A horizontal plant stem with shoots above and roots below serving as a reproductive structure) rhizomes.
