Duane Eddy (born April 26, 1938 in Corning, New York) is an American guitarist best known for his "Twangy" guitar style.
Eddy's career began after he met Lee Hazlewood, a disc jockey and record producer from Arizona, in 1955.
Named by Billboard magazine as "The Number One Rock and Roll Instrumentalist of All Time", Duane Eddy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.

What I want to know is if anyone has compared the reddish orange used in the Duane Eddy Signature with an original 1957 6120.
I guess I am wondering if the Eddy is in the "ballpark" in terms of color vs. not even close, a la the 6120-W and 6120 standard.
Obviously, Gretsch probably looked at Duane's guitar when they planned the signature and I just wondered how close it was to that.

This was recorded in a Phoenix studio that had an echo chamber what was originally a large water tank.
A speaker was placed at one end of the tank, the microphone at the other, and the guitar "twang" was piped in there, according to Eddy.
Hand claps and shouts were provided by The Sharps, who later changed their name to the Rivingtons and hit with "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" and "The Bird's the Word." They even had a mild R&B hit with "Mama-Oom-Mow-Mow" afterwards.
