Duane Sutter was fired as Head Coach of the Florida Panthers on 12/2/01, but re-hired as an Assistant Coach on 3/6/03.
Duane and wife Cindy live in Coral Springs, Florida with their daughters Darby and Kassie, and son Brody.
CAREER NOTES: Duane Sutter was traded from the New York Islanders on 9/9/87 to the Chicago Blackhawks for a 2nd round 1988 Entry Draft pick (Wayne Doucet).

The proud parents of the Sutter Brothers are Grace and Louis Sutter.

Duane Sutter, whose brothers coach the Chicago Blackhawks and the Boston Bruins, was named today to coach the Indianapolis Ice of the International Hockey League.
Sutter, 31, who retired in 1990 after 11 years as a player with the Islanders and the Blackhawks, coached last season at Medicine Hat of the Western Hockey League.
Sutter's brother Darryl coached the Ice to the I.H.L. championship in 1990 and currently is the coach of the Blackhawks.

A San Francisco law firm sued Sutter Health in federal court Wednesday, accusing the nonprofit hospital chain of failing to provide charitable care to uninsured patients in return for tax exemptions.
The lawsuit, which seeks class-action status, was filed on behalf of Duane Darr, a Berkeley resident who slipped in a grocery store in May and was taken to Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley.
