	John Brodeur * The Suggestions
		The record is a result of a solid year locked in engineer John Delehanty’s Scarlet East Studios (then conveniently located in the basement of Ma and Pa Delehanty’s Latham home).
		The recordings, intended as a loosely bound collection of singles rather than a full-fledged album, were critically well-received—especially the Weezerific “Be True” and John’s stirring rendition of George Harrison’s “Art of Dying” (originally released as part of a Harrison tribute CD on Jealousy Records).
		The disc, recorded entirely in his Albany apartment, demonstrates the strengths of both John’s solo performances (in the form of a revamped “Easier,” first heard on Tiger Pop) and his unique studio vision (on the new “Movie Of The Week” and the de facto title track “Old Wounds”).

		Boot Camp Clik and Duck Down Records have been through some very hard times with luke-warm reviews and sales on their sophomore albums (even though I loved them), the loss of Rock (1/2 of Heltah Skeltah), and the end of their contract with Priority Records.
		Overall, "Collect Dis Edition" by Duck Down Records and Boot Camp Clik is a modern classic compilation.
		Still, Duck Down Records have so many beautiful songs that it is extremely hard to pick only a few.

		N, ID While a bit uncertain in my initial accpetance of this record, I defer to the assessment by Steve Summers which indicates that two key points were not discussed in the ID: lower mandible color and significant contrast between dark tertials and coverts and light tertial edges.
		I still think that the rash of recent records in NV, UT and AZ must be expanding birds and not all of a sudden a rash of escapees.

		As head duck of Dark Duck Records, Stephen Philips keeps busy by discovering new ambient/electronic talents, as well as releasing his own works under various pseudonymous projects.
		When I was in college I used to doodle in class and one day a doodle I did resembled a duck head, the only thing was it was a solid fl duck head, a sort of dark duck if you will.
		One guy I was talking to a while back said he thought the "dark" suggested something dark and ominous while the "duck" suggested a playful side which I think kind of sums it up.

		Along the same lines as the CDs in the Cycles series which began back in 1996, this recording is part 3 of a new series of virtual installation pieces, intended for infinite playback.
		This disc was composed, recorded, and mastered with sound levels that slowly decrease to create a piece that drifts off into the night.
		These tracks were later discovered and compiled for a CD that was released in 1997, 1998 (around the 10th anniversary of their composition) but the CD didn't sell too well and was later deleted from the catalog.

		While off the mainstream music industry radar for a few years, Duck Down was busy in the underground continuing to put out independent releases from the Boot Camp.
		Under the new distribution deal with Koch Duck Down and Boot Camp promise to do something they haven’t done in the past and that is deliver more music on a consistent timely basis.

		Elijah Wyman (My Space) has a new record on Blue Duck Records and surprise surprise I like it.
		I asked Elijah Wyman to make a couple additional comments about his music figuring that hearing from the source would be more valuable than my in coherent ramblings.
		These two songs in particular are some of the most morbid on the record.
