Dulah Marie Evans, later Dulah Evans Krehbiel (1875-1951) was an American painter, printmaker, illustrator, and photographer.
Dulah's friend and fellow Tree Studio artist, Julia Bracken, had married painter William Wendt in 1906 and moved to Los Angeles, becoming one of the city's foremost sculptors.
Dulah became interested in the organization of multiple figures, often using groupings of three (perhaps to reveal a spiritual synthesis) in surrealistic mountain landscapes.

Dulah's mother, Marie, came from an upper class family in Switzerland and was the driving force behind the education of her children.
Dulah's stay in New York was short, however, as she and her sister were called to Iowa to attend to the severe damage that a tornado had caused to the Evans Building.

Dulah left the Tree Studio in 1906 to marry Albert H. Krehbiel, a fellow classmate from the Art Institute of Chicago.

A sample sales book of these cards is now in the collection of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. Dulah’s assistants, appropriately called the “Ridge Craft Girls”, often pulled double duty as models for both Dulah’s and Albert's paintings.
From the early 1920s through the 1940s, she exhibited at the Arts Club of Chicago with other well-known artists, including painter Pauline Palmer and Bauhaus photographer Lazlo Maholy-Nagy, and at The Art Institute of Chicago with painters Gerald Cassidy, Jessie Wilcox Smith, Edgar Payne, and J. Dulah's lithograph, Indian Home, Laguna Pueblo, was featured in an article in the Chicago Evening Post Magazine of the Art World on September 6th, 1927, and the woodcut, The Mission at Laguna, was featured in an article in the same newspaper on September 13th, 1927.

 Albert Henry Krehbiel, Biography
In 1918 and 1919, Krehbiel summered at an art colony in Santa Monica, California, with Dulah, Evans (their son and only child), and Dulah's sister, Mayetta, where he painted impressionistic high-keyed shore-line views and landscapes while Dulah painted her son and sister in various settings.
In the early 1920s, Krehbiel, again traveling with Dulah, Evans, and Mayetta, spent summers in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as a member of the Santa Fe Art Colony.
The summer migration of artists to Saugatuck began in 1900 when the daughter of the owner of one of the resort hotels invited some of her classmates from The Art Institute of Chicago to vacation there.

Upon returning to the States in May of 1906, Krehbiel married fellow artist and Art Institute graduate, Dulah Marie Evans, on June 6th (Dulah went on to have an extremely accomplished career in her own right as a painter, printmaker and commercial artist).
He was awarded the commission to design and paint the wall mural for the Chicago Juvenile Court Room in 1906 and, 1907, the eleven wall and two ceiling murals for the Supreme and Appellate Court Rooms at the Illinois Supreme Court Building in Springfield, the state's capitol.
Krehbiel, with Dulah's assistance, spent four years on the research, preparation and composition of the Supreme Court Building murals, which were completed in 1911.
