Dulwich Hill has a library (a branch of Marrickville Library) and a post office, but was never chartered a town hall or police station (the nearest is Marrickville Local Area Command).

Dulwich is, in fact, one of the oldest recorded villages in London.
Dulwich and East Dulwich cover a fertile valley between hills, Denmark Hill and Dog Kennel Hill to the north, Sydenham Hill and One Tree Hill, Honor Oak, to the south.
Dulwich Common is now only the name of a busy main road, part of the South Circular, but, until it was enclosed in 1805, the common was a wide open space; land where sheep and cows could graze.

Summer Hill is a suburb in the Inner West area of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.
To the north of Summer Hill is the suburb of Haberfield, to the east is Lewisham, to the south is Dulwich Hill, and to the west is Ashfield.
The boundaries of Summer Hill are neatly defined by Parramatta Road and Liverpool Road to the North, the rear of the properties on the west side of Prospect Road (with a detour around Trinity Grammar School) to the West, Old Canterbury Road to the South, and the north-south goods railway line to the east.

It's not widely advised to go south or west, as the city tends to divide into ghettos - stick to the city centre, eastern suburbs and the North Shore and you'll be fine and will have a great time.
