A 70-year-old woman died when her house was destroyed by fire at 10:30 in the morning at Barangay Ticwas, Dumalinao Zamboanga del Sur last Monday.
Investigation conducted by the men of the Dumalinao Municipal Police Station revealed that the victim was cooked dinner at the 2nd floor of her home when the gas stove exploded due to over heating that caused the fire.
Elements of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station led by SPO3 Romualdo Bacayong proceeded to the fire scene and called for assistance from the Pagadian City Fire Station.

Eid Kabalu, the separatist group’s spokesman, was reacting to Lasal’s reported claim that they were by MILF forces in the southern Philippines after their July 14 escape from a high-security police prison in Manila.
Edris was captured and killed in September at a military checkpoint in the province of Lanao del Sur, also in Mindanao.

The military's optimism arises from the recapturing of an alleged Abu Sayyaf member in Dumalinao town, Zamboanga del Sur Wednesday.
Opik was arrested at a checkpoint near the southern town of Dumalinao town in Zamboanga del Sur province by a special task force along with another Moro militant identified as Mukhtar Sali, Colonel Roland Rodriguez said.
"We've zeroed in on the Baganian Peninsula in Zamboanga del Sur and in at least four coastal towns in the nearby Zamboanga Sibugay province as probable hiding places of al-Ghozi," added Rodriguez.
