Encyclopedia of Arda: King of Durin’s Folk
The later Kings of Durin's Folk, the descendants of Náin II, who was in turn the descendant of Durin I, called the Deathless.
As the descendants of Durin were forced by circumstance to travel widely in Middle-earth, the main seat(s) of their Kingship is shown alongside each King.
Durin's Bane had been destroyed in the War of the Ring, so that Khazad-dûm lay open for recovery by its ancient owners, and there is some evidence that it was Durin VII who at last achieved this.

 Station Information - Durin
In Tolkien's mythology, Durin the Deathless was set to sleep beneath the mountains of Middle-earth until the Elves were born.
The Dwarves of Durin's folk were ruled by six kings named Durin, all fathers and sons, until Durin VI, who was killed in 1980 of the Third Age.
After him Durin did not return to his people for many years, until in the Fourth Age a Durin VII appeared, son of Thorin III, grandson of Dáin II Ironfoot, and descendant in direct line from Durin the Deathless.

Last Alliance of Elves and Men - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fearing the establishment of the powerful kingdoms in exile — Arnor and Gondor — by his hated enemies, the Dúnedain, Sauron launched a preemptive attack on Gondor in S.A. In response, Elendil, High King of the Dúnedain, formed an alliance with Gil-galad, the High King of the Eldar, to repel Sauron's assault.
Durin's Folk, under command of King Durin IV, also aided Elendil and Gil-galad by sending a host of Dwarves from Three of the Seven Houses of Dwarves.
Durin IV survived this siege and afterwards returned to Khazad-dûm.

So when Durin woke, the vision filled him, and he knew somehow (for the dark thought of Sauron was upon the Ring) in what region the mine lay; and he prepared for a journey, and departed from Khazad-dum with but a few retainers: for indeed he held the secret of his vision close.

It may be that Oropher and Amdir advanced down the eastern shore of Anduin, while Gil-galad, Elendil, and Durin passed west of Lorinand toward Parth Celebrant.
Sauron probably met the Alliance forces somewhere near the Undeeps, but seeing that he was outnumbered he fell back, destroying the ancient Entish domain north of the Emyn Muil (later known as "The Brown Lands") in an attempt to slow the advance of the Alliance43.
Elendil and Durin may therefore have stood upon the left (east) side of the field.

Durin's Folk were possibly the most outgoing of all the Dwarves, interacting with Elves, Men, and Hobbits to one degree or another.
Although Tolkien doesn't say any of the lords other than Thrain (Durin's Heir, king of the Longbeards) participated directly in the war, it is not impossible that at least two did lead forces to Thrain's aid, and they could have been captured or slain and their bodies taken.
It may be that when Durin VII eventually resettled Khazad-dum early in the Fourth Age the Dwarves of Ered Luin also experienced a sort of renaissance, their last bloom before the final, sad diminishment and disappearance of their race.
