		His Dark Materials is a trilogy of novels by the fantasy fiction author Philip Pullman, comprising Northern Lights (released as The Golden Compass in North America and published in 1995), The Subtle Knife (published in 1997) and The Amber Spyglass (published in 2000).
		Dust is less attracted to the innocence of children, and this gives rise to grisly experiments being carried out by Church-controlled scientists on kidnapped children in the icy wastelands of the far North.
		A film adaptation, titled His Dark Materials: Northern Lights, is to be released in December 2007 by New Line Cinema, the company behind the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy.

		I dare say he feels quite at home in here.’ This is one of the most important statements in His Dark Materials and is a climax in the trilogy; we finally see that there is some goodness in Coulter’s heart after her portrayal as such a cold-hearted person.

		Turning inside out, His Dark Materials could be seen as an enormous logical contradiction, proving the hypotheses "does God exist" false for one case of its existence, and therefore, assuming an infinite God, proving the existence of God false everywhere.
		If, as the Archbishop states, Atheists will questions the grounds of their approach, I also think His Dark Materials tells the opposite to the religious: "Step by step, I am taking the universe to pieces, God is here somewhere, what is it?".

		The title of the triology, "His Dark Materials" is a reference to John Miltons "Paradise Lost", if you liked this epic poem, this book is for you.
