Based on the premise that systematic study of grammar is a shortcut to language learning, ESSENTIAL DUTCH GRAMMAR helps the language student acquire fluency by emphasizing the similarities between English and Dutch and by concentrating on essentials, such as spelling, word order, parts of speech, and other elements of grammar--all illustrated with easy-to-understand examples.
This book claims to be 'All the grammar really needed for speach and comprehension...', however, there is much more information needed than what is presented in this book.
I'd reccommend this book to beginning students and native speakers who want to brush up on their grammatical skills (for example, those speakers who have emigrated out of Holland/Belgium) - especially since the price is right.

The Dutch speakers on the cassette tapes (also available) are ridiculous to an extent, but maybe it's just the natural sound of the language as I know it to be, a little embellished.
